Clearstone Group, LLC ("Clearstone", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what information we collect when you visit clearstonegroup.com or use our client portal, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account & identity: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed).
- Case information: narrative, dates, amounts, currency, jurisdiction, supporting documents you upload, and signatures you apply to documents.
- Communications: messages you send through the in-portal chat, inquiries submitted through the contact form, and emails you send to our support address.
- Payment information: bank, wallet, or other disbursement details required to release recovered funds. We do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps, used to operate the site and detect abuse.
- Session cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How we use information
- To open, advance, and resolve your case.
- To verify your identity and meet our anti-money-laundering and know-your-client obligations.
- To communicate with you about your case, scheduled calls, and account.
- To process disbursements and maintain an accurate trust ledger.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site and portal.
- To comply with applicable law, lawful requests, and our own legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Caseworkers and partner counsel assigned to your matter, under written confidentiality terms.
- Service providers who host our infrastructure, send transactional email, or perform identity verification, bound by data-protection agreements.
- Authorities when we are required to do so by subpoena, court order, or applicable law.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, subject to this notice.
4. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging, and annual SOC 2 Type II review. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
5. Retention
We retain case files for the period required by applicable professional and regulatory rules (typically seven years after the case closes), and longer if needed to resolve disputes or comply with law. You can request earlier deletion of records that we are not required to retain.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Submit a request to support@clearstonesgroup.support; we will verify your identity and respond within 30 days.
7. International transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the portal from outside the U.S., you consent to processing in the U.S. under U.S. law.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the portal and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
